Custom software development in Karachi, scoped at your premises
The distance between software that works and software that gets abandoned is usually decided before anyone writes code — in whether the person specifying it ever watched the work happen. Linksoft scopes on-site in Karachi, specifies in writing, and hands over a system your staff are trained to run without us.
We come to you first
A specification written from a meeting describes the business people remember. A specification written on the floor describes the business that runs. So the first thing we do is turn up — at the factory, the school office, the warehouse, the showroom — and watch.
What that surfaces is always the same category of thing: the register somebody keeps privately because the official system cannot hold it, the approval that gets skipped at month-end, the exception everyone knows about and nobody wrote down. Those are the requirements that decide adoption, and they are never in the brief.
Scoping continues over calls and online meetings where that suits your week, but in Karachi the on-site session is standard rather than an extra.
Any industry, any level of complexity
We are not a single-vertical shop. The systems we build cover manufacturing, distribution, education, healthcare, retail, logistics, property, hospitality and professional services — because the machinery underneath is common and only the vocabulary changes.
The same is true of scale. A single-purpose tool one small team uses daily is a real project and we take it as one; so is a fully interconnected system spanning every department of a multi-location group. What we will not do is quote a large system because the fee is larger, when a small one solves the problem.
- 01 Operational systems: intake, workflow, records and reporting
- 02 Portals and dashboards where each role sees exactly its own slice
- 03 Data and reporting tools that turn month-end into a lookup
- 04 Integrations between systems that currently disagree with each other
- 05 Cloud, on-premise or offline-capable, depending on the operation
Delivery is not finished when the software works
It is finished when your people can run it without us. Every deployment includes migrating your existing records, then training each person on the portal they will actually use — on your data, not demo data. A finance officer learns finance; nobody has to learn the whole system.
We also write user manuals. Not because anyone enjoys writing them, but because a system only one trained person understands is a risk pretending to be an asset. The documentation is written so that a new employee years from now can sit down and understand the system with nobody left who was there at launch.
Ownership, security and staying reachable
Where you want to own the result outright, source code and database schema are handed over, including white-label arrangements — with the terms agreed before work begins rather than negotiated afterwards. Access is enforced in the database with row-level and column-level security, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and backups run automatically.
Then we stay. Fixes, changes and new modules as the business evolves — some Karachi systems we support were commissioned in the late 1990s and are still running.
Custom software development — the full service →Asked and answered
Do you visit our premises before quoting?
In Karachi, yes, as standard. We watch the real workflow — the registers, the approvals, the exceptions — before writing anything, because a specification built only from meetings misses precisely the details that decide whether staff adopt the system.
What industries do you build custom software for?
Manufacturing, distribution and supply chain, education, healthcare, retail, logistics, real estate, hospitality and professional services. The operational machinery is largely common across them; the industry decides the vocabulary and the specific workflows, which is what on-site scoping establishes.
Will you build something small, or only large systems?
Both. A focused tool for one team is a legitimate project and gets the same process. We would rather build the small system that solves the problem than sell the large one that impresses.
Do you provide training and documentation?
Yes — per-role training on your own data after deployment, plus written user manuals so a new employee years later can understand the system without anyone from the original team.
Can we get the source code?
Yes, on a build-to-own engagement the source code and database schema are handed over to you, including white-label arrangements where you intend to sell the product onward. The ownership terms are written into the agreement before work starts.
Can the system work without internet access?
Yes, where the operation requires it. We deploy to the cloud by default because it is faster to serve and easier to back up, but an offline-capable or fully on-premise build is a normal alternative rather than an exception.
Tell us what your operation needs.
We scope honestly, specify in writing, and support what we build — the same way we have since 1998.
