Terms of use
LAST UPDATED · 23 AUGUST 2026
These terms cover Linksoft DI, the free FBR digital invoicing application at linksoft.pro/di. They are between you and Linksoft, a software house in Karachi. If you use the application, they apply. If something here does not work for your business, write to us before you start rather than after.
The reference pages on this site, meaning the scenario material and the error code index, are free to read with no account and no conditions attached. These terms cover the application itself, which needs one.
What this service is
Linksoft DI prepares sales tax invoices in the format FBR's digital invoicing API expects and submits them using credentials you supply. That is the whole of it.
We are not a licensed integrator. Under rule 150XE of the Sales Tax Rules, 2006, the integration of a registered person is carried out by an integrator licensed by the Board, and rule 150XF appoints PRAL as a licensed integrator that provides that service free of cost. You register with FBR, PRAL integrates you, and FBR issues you a token. We do not stand between you and FBR in any regulatory sense, and you should be suspicious of any software vendor in Pakistan who tells you their product is "FBR approved".
We do not give tax advice. Nothing in the application or on this website is advice about your tax position, your sale types, your rates or your filing. If you need that, engage a tax practitioner.
The invoice is yours
Every invoice submitted through the application is issued by you, in your name, under your registration, using your token. You are the person FBR holds responsible for it. We do not check whether your figures are right, whether the sale type you chose is the correct one, or whether the transaction happened at all.
The application validates what it can before submitting — that a unit is one FBR accepts for that HS code, that a required field is not empty, that a rate exists for the date. That is a convenience, not an audit. Passing validation means the payload is well formed. It does not mean the invoice is correct.
Your account
One account belongs to one business. You are responsible for what happens under it, including anything done by staff you give the password to.
If you sign up with a username or a phone number and never connect a verified email address, we cannot send you a password reset link, because we have nowhere to send it. In that situation the only route back into your account is to message us on +92-347-2836414 and have us set a new password by hand. This is worth understanding before you need it. Connecting and verifying an email address in settings takes a minute and removes the problem.
Your FBR credentials
You supply your own sandbox and production tokens. They stay yours. We encrypt them before storing them, we decrypt them only at the moment an invoice is sent to FBR, and no part of the application will display them back to you or to anyone else. How that works is set out in the privacy policy.
Keeping the token valid is your side of it. Tokens are issued for five years, sandbox and production are separate, and FBR requires the IP address that calls its API to be whitelisted in your own IRIS portal. The application shows you which address to enter. If you remove it, submissions stop working and there is nothing we can do from our end.
The test scenarios
The application can prepare and submit the sandbox test invoices FBR assigns to your business activity and sector. These go to FBR's test environment. They are not filed, they carry no tax, and they have no effect on your liability.
Nothing is submitted without you seeing it first. The application shows you every scenario it intends to send and what it will contain, and waits for you to start it. You are authorising those submissions under your own credentials, and we keep a record of each one so you can show what was sent and when.
What it costs
Five invoices a month, free. The count only moves when FBR accepts a production invoice. Sandbox submissions, the scenario tests, rejected invoices, drafts, reprints and exports are unlimited and always will be.
If you need more than five, message us on +92-347-2836414 and we will agree a limit and a period with you. There is no card on file, no automatic renewal and nothing that starts charging you if you forget to cancel. When an agreed period ends, the limit returns to five and your data stays where it is.
Your records
Rule 150S requires you to keep electronic invoices for six years, and rule 150T requires that the original transmission can be reproduced at audit. That duty is yours. We hold the records to help you meet it, not instead of you meeting it.
You can export everything at any time. If you delete your account you have to export first — the application will not let you past that step — because we would rather be accused of being awkward than have you discover during an audit that you deleted the only copy. After deletion the records are gone from our side and cannot be recovered.
Availability
This is a free service and it comes with no uptime commitment. We will keep it running as well as we can, but we do not promise it will be available at any particular moment, and FBR's own gateway goes down independently of anything we control.
If a submission fails because FBR is unreachable, the invoice is held and can be sent again. Under rule 150XC, invoices generated while you are offline must be marked as such and uploaded within twenty-four hours of service returning. The application marks them and reminds you. Meeting the deadline is still your responsibility.
Things you must not do
Do not submit invoices for transactions that did not happen. Do not use someone else's credentials. Do not attempt to reach data belonging to other users, and do not run the application in ways designed to overload it.
We may suspend an account that does any of these, or that is being used in a way that puts other users at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why first.
Liability
Software has bugs, including ours. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for tax consequences, penalties, lost business or lost data arising from your use of the application. You are getting a free tool and you are getting it as it is.
This does not exclude anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, and it does not excuse us from handling your data carefully. If we lose your data through our own negligence, saying so in a terms page does not make that acceptable, and we would not treat it as acceptable.
Changes
We will change these terms as the application grows. The date at the top is when they last changed. If a change materially affects how your data is handled or what the service costs, we will tell registered users directly rather than relying on you to notice.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts at Karachi have jurisdiction.
