A software house in Pakistan with twenty-eight years of systems still running

Pakistan has thousands of software houses and a small number whose work is still in production a decade later. Linksoft has been building business systems from Karachi since 1998 — ERP, CRM, school, manufacturing and agency platforms, plus the websites that front them — for clients across the country.

How to judge a software house in Pakistan

The market makes this genuinely hard. Company websites look alike, portfolios are unverifiable, and the loudest names in any city are frequently the ones spending most on directory placement. Five questions cut through it faster than any comparison list.

How long has their work been running in production — years, or months? Will they scope at your premises before quoting, or only over calls? Will they put the specification in writing before building? Can they name real clients you may contact? And after go-live, who answers the phone: the engineers, or a support queue?

We publish our answers so you can check them: continuously in business since 1998, on-site scoping as standard, written specifications before development, a public client register of real names, and support from the people who built your system. Measure every candidate against that list, including us.

  • 01 Years of systems in production, not years of company registration
  • 02 On-site scoping before a quotation exists
  • 03 A written specification you approve before development
  • 04 Named clients you are allowed to contact
  • 05 Engineers reachable after go-live, not a ticket queue

What a full-range software house should cover

The narrower a vendor's range, the more likely your requirement gets bent to fit what they sell. Our seven service lines cover custom ERP and CRM development, financial accounting systems, FBR digital invoicing compliance, custom software development, website and landing-page development, product development with source-code handover, and support for systems other people built.

Industry coverage is equally broad: manufacturing of every kind, distribution and supply chain, education, healthcare, retail, logistics, real estate, hospitality and professional services. The systems share machinery; the industry decides vocabulary and workflow.

Serving the whole country, honestly

Karachi is home and the only city where we scope in person as standard. Everywhere else — Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta and the towns between — we work remotely, and we say so plainly rather than implying offices we do not have.

In practice the difference is smaller than it sounds. Our systems are cloud-based, so nothing needs installing locally; discovery runs as structured remote sessions with your operational and accounts staff; records are migrated and verified with your team; each role is trained by video on its own portal; and support runs the same Monday-to-Saturday hours every client gets, with responses inside 24 hours.

Pakistani economics, senior engineering

Hiring in Pakistan gives you experienced engineering attention at rates that make custom software rational rather than aspirational — and with a local partner, systems that understand FBR compliance, Pakistani accounting conventions, Urdu-comfortable users, voucher culture and how businesses here actually operate.

That is a different proposition from offshoring to a foreign vendor and translating your realities into theirs. It is also why some of our first clients from the late 1990s are still with us.

Asked and answered

What makes a good software house in Pakistan?

Longevity of systems in production, willingness to scope on-site, a written specification before development, verifiable named clients, and engineers you can still reach after go-live. Those five checks eliminate most of the field regardless of how the websites look.

Do you work with clients outside Karachi?

Yes, across Pakistan. Karachi is where we scope in person; everywhere else we work remotely — structured discovery sessions, cloud deployment with nothing to install locally, per-role video training, and the same support hours Karachi clients get.

What services does Linksoft cover?

Custom ERP and CRM development, financial accounting systems, FBR digital invoicing, school, manufacturing and agency platforms, website and landing-page development, product development with source-code handover, and support for existing systems built by others.

Why hire a Pakistani software house instead of a foreign one?

For business systems, proximity to your realities wins: a local team understands FBR compliance, Pakistani accounting conventions and how businesses here operate, works in your time zone and currency, and can sit in your office when it matters. You also avoid paying foreign rates for local problems.

How long has Linksoft been in business?

Since 1998 — twenty-eight years, founded in Karachi by Muhammad Rashid Anwar and led today by CEO Musbah Rashid. Some client systems commissioned in that first decade are still supported and running.

Is Linksoft related to other companies using the name?

No. Linksoft (linksoft.pro) is the Karachi, Pakistan software house founded in 1998. Companies elsewhere sharing the name — in Europe or otherwise — and the similarly named 'Linkitsoft' are unrelated to us.

Tell us what your operation needs.

We scope honestly, specify in writing, and support what we build — the same way we have since 1998.
