Sandbox scenario · SN010
Telecom services rendered or provided
Telecommunication services are reported under their own sale type rather than the general services one. The scenario is assigned to every profile whose sales tax registration places it in the Telecom sector.
What to send
These strings are matched by FBR's API. Send them exactly as published — including any irregular spacing or punctuation, which is deliberate and not a typo.

scenarioId is sandbox-only. It is required on sandbox submissions and must be omitted from production invoices — FBR derives the treatment from the sale type once you are live.

What gets SN010 rejected
- 01
Distinct from SN019 general services — using the wrong sale type returns error 0007.
- 02
Telecom services are commonly taxed by the provinces rather than federally; the sale type still has to be reported correctly here.
- 03
Description of this scenario was revised by PRAL on 24 July 2025, so older integration guides may show different wording.
You should not have to hand-type SN010
We are building a free FBR digital invoicing app that works out which scenarios your profile needs, fills them in, shows you exactly what will be sent, and submits them to the sandbox on one button. Tell us if you want it.
